Maria, head of Human Resources, at OEI allowed my Computer App II classes to visit the Inn and Spa. We were given a tour of the Spa area, one of the Spa suites, the kitchen, and Madison's. Our tour ended in an elaborate conference room, where Maria, Sherry & Spencer shared information about their jobs and we also were treated to delicious fruit and pastries prepared by the chef. It was a great learning opportunity about careers and technology in use!

Melody, Managing Editor at The Highlander, shared a lot of information about producing a newspaper, particulary the Desktop Publishing side. We saw ads being designed and information uploaded to the web site while we were in the office. Melody also described the variety of career opportunities that exists at the newspaper office.
